Ulaola is just one of the new digital marketplaces devoted to the distinctions of Made in Italy. The platform is active on the online shops dedicated to handmade Italian products on amazon.it and amazon.co.uk.

Undoubtedly, the new arena stands as a great shopping window for Italian products from small and medium companies, not only in Italy and in the United Kingdom but in the whole world.

Ulaola is a new startup incubated by the Italian Digital Magics, a certified successful companies incubator. It is the first virtual venue offering items selected by Confartigianato, the most representative Italian association aggregating 800.000 artisans. The latters, along with designers but also small companies active in the field of fashion or other handmade products, shall certainly consider Ulaola as the best way to appear on the international market.

The Amazon Made in Italy project was recently presented in Florence, at Palazzo Vecchio. It offers already 5000 merchandises whose complete picture in terms of origin, description and production techniques is available to online customers.

On this purpose, Francois Nuyts - Italy and Spain Country Manager - declared to the Italian daily Corriere della Sera that he was hoping in a "stronger collaboration with the companies in Florence" in order to increase their exports and extend it to other regions.

The Amazon platform can reach 285 million clients living around the world, standing out as a great opportunity for a wide visibility. On this subject, recent statistics show that during the last year the number of enterprises selling on Amazon had a 90% increase. Moreover, their export turnover has gone up to 133 million Euro. Florence mayor Dario Nardella also commented on the initiative, stating he is "proud of Florence being the first city in Italy having companies selling on the new Amazon marketplace".
