The event, sponsored by Consulate General and the Institute of Italian Culture, will be attended by representatives of foundations such as Mind the Bridge, the Silicon Valley Italian Executive Council, the Business Association Italy America, the Why Italy Matters to the World magazine sponsored by Tiscali.
The event is one of the over 200 set to take place in 40 American cities over the 2013 Year of the Italian Culture in the USA. Minister for Foreign Affairs Terzi, underlined that the initiative will inject " new dynamism into bilateral relations" and will highlight "Italy's public/private collaboration model and consciousness of a global modernity able to draw the best from our deep cultural roots and willingness to meet the chances of the present and the future."
Giants such as Mind the Bridge founded by Fernando Napolitano, will introduce new start ups in the innovation tech field at the Modern Computing Museum of Mountain View: the target is promoting investments on Italian start ups.
This year the event will be in conjunction with the launch of a special exhibition dedicated to the footprint left by Italian Innovators in Silicon Valley, entitled "Sexy Before Apple: the Italian Experience in Silicon Valley" showing the best of the past, the present and the future of the Italian technological creation.
On the 14th of March the future of the information technology will be discussed , starting from the Italian innovator, Federico Faggin, inventor of the microprocessor , to conclude with writer and journalist Mike Malone.
The event at the Silicon Valley will conclude on the 19th with "Clean Tech Italia San Francisco" as part of the Clean Tech Forum, some Italian green enterprises will attend representing the Green Innovation made in Italy.
