Mr. Dino Darensod is president of Cave des Onze Communes, a winery founded in 1990 and based in the area of Aymavilles. "Although the Italian market is not as responsive at it used to be, this decrease has been compensated by foreign demand". He explains that the sales have been going very well in the past year.
The wine Enfer, from the Arvier area, was also sold out in 2013. "Sales went very well in 2013, especially after two years of downturn," states Sara Patat, the president of the Enfer cooperative. They are also shifting towards international customers. This year in September they sealed a deal with Korean clients, who were enthusiastic about their products.
"Out of the 130 thousand bottles produced, 15% was exported," explains Mario Dalbard, president of Cave di Donnas. Again, the larger share of their export resides between the U.S. and Japan. In particular, Cave di Donnas is selling in New York at Eataly, the famous hub for Italian grocery & culture on the Fifth Avenue.
