This idea came out the experience of two different minds. Namely, Francesco Rapetti Mogol (marketing expert) and Marco Magnarosa, a telecommunications engineer expert in disruptive devices. The project became real after many efforts, involving 4 years of experimentation, feasibility studies, a research centre of support and 50 engineers. Today, the founders can be proud of holding 3 patents and of being present in 12 countries around the world. Nuvap N1 also got the financial support of Invitalia's Smart&Start fund.
Nuvap is the startup from Tuscany, which made all this possible. Created in 2014, it already has advanced technological partnerships, such as the one with Cubit Scarl from Pisa University. Astonishingly, all N1 components are entirely made in Italy.
Very significant for the project was the literature on the interaction between polluting agents and pathologies. In fact, a continuous contact between the individual and these agents can cause allergies, asthma, bronchitis and sometimes even cancer. For these reasons, N1 was among the finalists of Gaia Awards 2015 devoted to green technological services, contributing to sustainable development.
Marco Mangarosa has enthusiastically commented on his product, stating "there is no similar product in the world so far. We are currently producing 100 thousand pieces a year but we will see if and how to increase of productive capacity".
Thanks to 24 environmental parameters and an app for smartphones, people can use N1 to know more about the pollution status of the environment they are in. All advised behaviours, tips and counter-moves to fight the pollution agents are included in the service.
