A holiday in one of the most beautiful regions in Northern Italy should start as a five stars culinary experience. As an
Trentino is a region constantly promoting fun activities, especially tailor made for families. You have the possibility to go mountain biking with your children following the tracks of funny gnomes hidden in the bushes. Also, in the city of Trento, the local Alpine guides organize courses to teach your kids the secrets of the mountains: they can do rock climbing, tarzaning (suspended ropes courses and Tibetan bridges) and learn how to tie knots. The surprises are not finished: on the river Noce, you can activate your adrenaline through different courses of water rafting.
Another important event in this region is the "Sounds of the Dolomites": a music festival that reaches in July 2014 its twentieth edition. It consists of a series of concerts, ranging from pop to classical music, from piano to jazz soloists. You will listen to high quality music played by, amongst many others, Giovanni Sollima, a famous cello player; Noemi, an established singer in the Italian pop scene and Red4Quartet, a chamber music group composed by four string players from the well-known Santa Cecilia Orchestra based in Rome. What is stunning about this festival is that the concerts are set at great altitudes: the silence of the valleys and the majestic rocks resound with incredible music.
