We tend to think that getting married in a country that is not our home country is not very popular, but the numbers behind what is now called the "wedding business" can easily prove us wrong. Only in 2016, the wedding business involved more than one million people coming from 25 different countries generating a turnover of 315 million euro.

Most of British, Americans, Russians, Japanese, Irish and Arabs choose Italy for their weddings. The reasons why they prefer Italy are various. 16.3 per cent of them are attracted by the history and the cultural beauties of the country, 12.9 per cent by its "appeal", 12 per cent consider Italy the most romantic place in the world, and 11 per cent of them love the local cuisine.

If you are keen to celebrate your wedding in Italy and you don't know from where to start, you should have a look at Zankyou, a web portal specialised in glamorous weddings. In late March, they will be organising a special "Wedding Club" in Rome, to share with their guests all the secrets behind a successful wedding.
